Cancelled: The 15th match of the ICC Women’s World Cup between Sri-Lanka and Ireland Women

Sri-Lanka is amazing in the game. They always make improvements in their cricket matches and so on. They win with the highest score. Ireland improved in all aspects of cricket, including batting, bowling, and fielding, but when they faced Sri Lanka, they were lacking confidence in their ability to win.

Sri-Lanka women’s team won by 10 runs only in 5th Dec 2000 against Ireland. After five years gap match was abandoned without a ball on 3rd April 2005, After the long wait Sri-Lanka won by 2 wicket’s in 12th Oct 2010, again the match was drawn on 28th Apr 2011 and the biggest winning score with 146 runs on 8th February 2017 by Sri-Lanka’s women’s. Ireland never marked at least one victory in her favour.

Nonetheless, Ireland has some outstanding players, such as Gaby Lewis, who has the highest average of 366 runs with a BT average of 40.67, more than any other player on her team. Laura Delany contributed 283 runs with a 35.38 BT average for the Ireland team. Some players are the best catchers in total, 7 and 5 matches. 12 wickets were made by Cara Murray and 7 wickets by Celeste Raack in past matches. In Sri-Lanka’s women’s team, the 412 highest runs were scored by Chamari Athapaththu, and the second highest, 240 runs, with 26.67, were scored by Harshitha Madavi. In the 8th match, the 9 and 6 wickets made by Oshadi Ranasinghe and Inoka Ranaweera in the past were added.

This time, both teams are improved and practising hard to make victory count for their own country.

Laura Delany [C], Georgina Dempsey, Amy Hunter, Shauna Kavanagh, Gaby Lewis, Louise Little, Sophie MacMahon, Jane Maguire, Cara Murray, Leah Paul, Orla Prendergast, Celeste Raack, Eimear Richardson, Rebecca Stokell, and Mary Waldron are the all-rounders in the women’s team.

Chamari Attapaththu [C], Harshitha Madavi [VC], Nilakshi de Silva, Kavisha Dilhari, Imesha Dulani, Vishmi Gunaratne, Ama kanchana, Achini Kulasuriya, Sugandika Kumari, Sachini Nisansala, Hasini Perara, Udeshika Prabodhani, Oshadi Ranasinghe, Inoka Ranaweera and Prasadani Weerakkody are the best women group of Sri-Lanka Team.
